The Buff-thighed Puffleg (Haplophaedia assimilis) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found in Bolivia and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montanes and heavily degraded former forest. It is often considered a subspecies of the Greenish Puffleg.
