The Japanese Wood-pigeon (Columba janthina) is a species of bird in the Columbidae family. It is found in China, Japan, Southern part of Korean peninsula, Russia, and Taiwan. They are believed to be the largest representative of the genus Columba, at 550 grams (1.2 lb) and 43 cm (17 in).

Its natural habitats are temperate forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
