The Abbott's Babbler (Malacocincla abbotti) is a species of bird in the Timaliidae family. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
The name of the species commemorates William Louis Abbott (1860-1936), American naturalist and collector, who studied the wildlife of the Indo-Malayan region.
