The Black Catbird (Melanoptila glabrirostris) is a species of bird in the Mimidae family. It is found in Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss. At 24 grams and 20 cm, it is the smallest mimic.
