The Hoary-throated Spinetail (Synallaxis kollari) is a bird species in the family Furnariidae. It is found in Brazil and Guyana.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
It was formerly classified as a Vulnerable species by the IUCN. But new research has shown that, although it indeed occurs at more locations than previously believed, its decline is also faster than it was assumed. Consequently, it is again listed as Endangered in 2008.
