The Puna Hawk (Buteo poecilochrous) is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland. The IOC considers this bird as the dark morph of the Variable Hawk (buteo polyosoma).
