The Red Lory (Eos bornea) is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is endemic to Indonesia. Its natural habitats are tropical moist lowland forests and tropical mangrove forests. It is the most commonly kept lory in captivity. This intelligent bird has a playful personality and a colourful appearance. Red lorries are primarily a deep pomegranate-red with blue markings on the wings and face. They range in size from ten to twelve inches long and have an orange beak.
