The Yellow-and-green Lorikeet (Trichoglossus flavoviridis) is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is endemic to Indonesia.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.

Taxonomy

The Yellow-and-green Lorikeet has two well differentiated subspecies:

  • Trichoglossus flavoviridis Wallace 1863
    • Trichoglossus flavoviridis flavoviridis Wallace 1863
    • Trichoglossus flavoviridis meyeri Walden 1871

Description

The Yellow-and-green Lorikeet is a mainly green parrot about 20 cm (8.0 in) long. It has green and yellow scalloping on its front. Its head is yellow and brown.
